This route begins at the Centre Cap Vermell in Cala Rajada (now the location of the tourist information office). It is a circular route that takes us to Capdepera. The varied scenery introduces us to different interesting aspects of the town: fields of crops, the 13th century Castle, the Melis-Cursach centre (the old apothecary, now a museum), the historical town centre, the weekly street market on Wednesdays, the squares and the people and even the cemetery. There is also ample opportunity to spoil yourself a little: buy some fruit or a “senalla”, a locally handcrafted basket woven of palm fronds on the market, drink a hot milky coffee or the traditional refreshing “llet freda” (cold spiced milk) and be sure not to forget to eat a delicious ensaimada pastry.
